Amy Fisher a Celebrity?

         I was recently flipping through channels and spotted Celebrity Rehab on VH1 and saw this:

Since when is a criminal a celebrity? I wonder how Mary Jo and her family feels every time they pass that channel and see her face? I am sure they are just as appalled as I am! It is sick what the media will do to make money. As for myself I remember the "real" Amy fisher.

                                           

Amy fisher became known as "the Long Island Lolita" by the media in 1992, when, she shot and severely wounded Mary Jo Buttafuoco, the wife of her lover Joey Buttafuoco. At first, she was  charged with first-degree attempted murder, but she eventually pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated assault and spent 6 years in prison.
